JFNH statement on Anti-semitic incident in Concord

In Concord late last week a swastika was drawn on the sidewalk close to the offices of the Lantos Foundation for Human Rights. The Jewish Federation of New Hampshire condemns this act of hate and is grateful to the Concord Police Department, the Anti-Defamation League and others for their swift and thorough response to this act of anti-Semitism.

While Anti-Semitism is rare in New Hampshire it is important that when incidents of this nature occur that we all join together as one community to denounce such acts and to treat them as teachable moments for the entire community. We would like to thank Governor Maggie Hassan, Senator Kelly Ayotte and Representative Ann McClane Kuster for their swift condemnation of this hateful act, and express our support for the Lantos Foundation and the good work they are doing around the world to support respect for human rights and combat Anti-Semitism.
